DiceLock Security - DiceLock Research - Performance Calculator
Tuesday, 22 May 2012
DiceLock improves symmetric ciphers like AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and others.
Providing maximum information security privacy with little time.
Performance Calculator

DiceLock implies at this moment the use of different configurations and algorithms like:

- symetric cipher: AES 128, AES 192, AES 256, HC 128 and HC 256,

- operation modes of block cipher: CBC, CFB and OFB,

- random number tests: Frequency Test, Block Frequency Test, Cumulative Sum Forward Test, Cumulative Sum Reverse Test, Runs Test, Longest Run Of Ones Test, Rank Test, Universal Test, Approximate Entropy Test, Serial Test, Discrete Fourier Transform Test.

- and hash algorithms in some configurations: sha 1, sha 224, sha 256, sha 384, sha 512, ripemd 128, ripemd 160, ripemd 256 and ripemd 320.

Once Time Analysis of all algorithms has been performed now we can know how DiceLock affects such symmetric cipher performances. Due to the great number of different combinations, online performance calculators have been developed to calculate the performance impact.

DiceLock main architectures

DiceLock presents two main architectures:

- DiceLock Indexed, and

- DiceLock Digested.

As they present quite differences, the calculators are differentiated by such concepts:

- DiceLock Indexed performance calculators, and

- DiceLock Digested performance calculators.

Relevant Time Analysis

The calculators are based on performance analysis per each one of the algorithms been used that can be found at the Time Analysis section:

- AES 128 block cipher with CBC operation mode,

- AES 128 block cipher with CFB operation mode,

- AES 128 block cipher with OFB operation mode,
